Using optical and electrophysiological techniques as well as computational modeling, we are studying sound representation in mammalian auditory systems, the auditory cortex in particular. Recent development of imaging techniques in the lab has allowed us to visualize the activity of several cortical fields at once. Current projects are focused on the structure, function and plasticity of the core and belt areas of rodent auditory cortex. (Click on a graph to read more)
